Here’s the kind of horse everyone is trying to find - the “once in a lifetime” gelding, the type of horse you’ll keep for the rest of his life, the “you’ll never find another one close to him” and you darn sure would never sell — kind of gelding.

“Stetson” is a 2010 AQHA registered buckskin gelding that truly is that one in a million kind of a horse. I have thoroughly enjoyed having him around and he is always a horse I look forward to getting on at the end of the day. They do not come any more simple and uncomplicated than him. He is a total gentleman both on the ground and in the saddle - quiet, patient, and always willing to do whatever it may be that you ask of him that day. “Stetson” is the definition of a confidence builder and is pleasurable for anyone to get on and ride!

This stunning gelding has seen and done it all — he has put in the miles and hours on the ranch and will do any job you ask of him. Whether it’s gathering, sorting pairs, dragging calves to fire - he has you covered. He has been shown in both beginner and advanced trail obstacle classes, and also used by children to show in their local 4-H classes. “Stetson” even acts like a gentleman during parades; he was riding with the group right behind the fire department and was unbothered by the crowds, noise, etc. All of that aside, this guy is completely solid and reliable out on the trail as well, he will go exactly where you ask him without any sort of hesitation. No issues crossing water, going through the rocks, over trail crossings, or anything else of the sort. He’s great riding through town as well and is not phased in the slightest by traffic, dogs, people, bikes, and so on.

“Stetson” is also a blast to ride in the arena as well! He has a true, one handed neck rein, side pass, and will move off of your legs. Rides around relaxed on a loose rein. He will jog nice and slow, knows both of his leads, his lope is smooth and very easy to sit. Has a great stop and back up. “Stetson” has babysat the kiddos and been ridden by those more experienced — and believe me when I say he is safe and enjoyable for anyone to ride.

Stands to be groomed, saddled, mounted (will stand to use a mounting block as well), bathed, tied, etc. He is sound, sane, healthy and ready to go. No maintenance or special care required, he is good in a stall or kept out on pasture. He doesn’t freshen up with time off, he can sit and will still be the same horse when you get on him. No buck, rear, kick, bite, pacing, cribbing, weaving - you get the idea. There’s no nonsense to him any way you look at him. He stands 15/15.1 hands, is up to date on all dental, farrier, deworming, vaccinations, etc. I know this guy won’t last long, and that someone is going to really enjoy owning and having him around for years to come.
