If you are looking for a well broke horse that can do it all, from ranch work, to playdays, to packing the kiddos around, then take a look at Jeb. He is very nicely broke, with an excellent neck rein and a soft mouth, so even kids and beginner riders can easily steer and stop him. Jeb spent the majority of his life on a ranch out in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He is the type of horse you can just pull out of the pasture, hop on and go without worrying about warming him up or getting bucked off. He rides just as good bareback with a halter as he does with a saddle and bridle. Jeb has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and is about as quiet and well mannered as they come. He is 13 years old, GRADE, and nicely built, 15hh and stout with four black feet and a pretty head with a kind eye. Jeb is gentle enough for just about anyone, and stays that way even if not ridden regularly. He is an excellent ranch horse but with his quiet personality will make an excellent trail horse, or even a ranch versatility horse. He would be great for a weekend rancher to pull out and go check cattle on, or a kiddo wanting to tag along with his dad or grandpa on their ranch. Jeb is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He is quiet and laid back and rides on a loose rein, but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. Jeb has the nicest smooth jog that you could sit to all day long, and will sidepass and work a gate as good as any horse we’ve ever owned. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. This type of horse doesn’t come for sale often, so if you are looking for a well broke, safe, dependable ranch gelding that the entire family can safely enjoy, don’t miss out on Jeb. Asking $6500.
