This is a versatile horse that will fit so many different people. He is a super nice ranch horse, but is quiet enough to make the perfect trail horse and the right size to make a nice kids horse. Kokomo is a GRADE 17 year old gelding, 14.3hh and super cute with a flaxen mane and tail and a kind eye. Don’t let his age worry you, he is sound and healthy and perfectly capable of going all day long if you want him to. He has the best personality, kind and safe and dependable. Every single time you get on him, you know exactly what he will do because he is the same horse all the time, whether he is ridden regularly or not. Kokomo has spent the majority of his life on a ranch in South Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He will ground tie all day long, never moving his feet until you tell him to. Kokomo is quiet, really broke with an excellent one handed neck rein, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. He is gentle for just about anyone, including kids and beginners, and would make the perfect horse for a part time rancher that wanted a safe horse to check cows on on the weekends or a kid wanting to help his dad on the ranch or learn how to rope. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Kokomo is laid back and quiet, content to walk quietly all day long but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. He will work a gate and move off your leg, and step right into a smooth, rocking horse lope from a walk or a trot. Kokomo can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. $3500 Kokomo has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
