Ruby is a phenomenal little mare that is all heart and one we planned on keeping but we have to cut our personal horses back. She is a horse that you could do so many things on and she would be good at all of them. She’s had a year of cutting training and is really cool on a cow. She would make a neat weekend show horse for someone with a bit more finishing. She would make a world class sorting horse right now. We’ve ranched on her and you can do anything outside you need to including gathering, penning, sorting pairs, doctoring sicks, dragging calves and loading trucks. She will go all day and will never try to quit you. She’s one that’s quiet enough to change gears and you can throw your wife and kids on at the ranch and let them help out. You would think you’re riding a gelding as solid as she is. She’s been hauled to ranch rodeos to compete and is good at indoor and outdoor pens. I’ve hauled her to team ropings to ride around while the guys rope. We’ve been tracking the dummy and live steers on her out of the box. She would make a great heel or breakaway horse if you wanted to go that route with her. We trail ride on her and she will go anywhere you want her to. If you’re in a group she doesn’t care if she’s in the front or back. She just stays where you put her. She will ride out alone without an issue also. She’s been ridden down the roads and isn’t scared of cars or motorcycles. We’ve taken her on rides at Dinosaur Valley State Park and The National Grasslands in Decatur. We have a friend that we let take her to the Kiamichi Mountains for a week to ride with a big group. If you’re looking for your next forever horse that will be your best buddy then come see Ruby.
