Description:
We run an 1800 head commercial cow/calf operation in southwest Montana. Cattle are run on rangeland with pasture feeding in the winter months. We background our weaned calves in our ranch feedlot. We AI our replacement heifers on the ranch.



We are looking for someone to fill a key supervisory position in our operation. We want someone with experience in feedlot operations, cattle processing, farming, irrigating, and with farm/heavy equipment operation and basic mechanical maintenance abilities. While not required, welding experience would be a plus. If your spouse is interested in a part-time cooking position, that would work out well for us but is by no means required.



This person will supervise all aspects of our feedlot and haying operations, our pasture feeding crew from mid-November to late May, and will organize our cattle processing days. This person will also collaborate with other key employees on irrigation, weed control, fencing projects, and the selection of potential replacement heifers. Finally, a key part of this job is keeping feed and cattle inventories and feedlot records current.



Housing, utilities, beef, health insurance, a work vehicle, and paid vacation days are provided. Eligibility in our 401k plan begins after one year of employment. We pay competitive hourly wages but will also consider an equivalent monthly salary.
