Description:
Stella is a gorgeous 11 yr old, 14.2 hh, 1100 lb. grullo QH mare. She is a gorgeous mare with exceptional ground manners, an honest mind, and a willing attitude. Stella has a great handle, SMOOTH gaits, neck reins, moves off of leg, picks up leads, has a nice stop, straight back up, side passes, and is great to gather on, brand, and separate pairs. Outside on the trail and ranch, she is sure-footed, moves out nicely, goes thru water, can pony and be ponied, opens/closes gates, take her out and gather cattle, tag calves, fix fence, and work the branding pen. She has also been camping and does well with the high-line, being in a group or single, riding on steep and rocky terrain, going thru water, etc. On the town trails, Stella has been around traffic, quads, bikes, strollers, tractors, flags, bags, tarps, etc. and is not a "spooky" horse. She does go out alone or in a group and moves right out with a ranch walk pace. In the arena, she picks up leads with ease, has a nice stop, side pass, straight back up, and a light handle. She has been heeled off of a little and would make a nice sorting/heel horse. We have used her to start colts in the round pen, flagging cattle, tagging calves, and really anything you need done on the ranch. Overall, Stella is a great mare that has excellent ground manners, a sweet personality, gets along with other horses, baths, clips, loads in any trailer, hauls and ties quietly. She is great for the farrier and is current on shots, worming, teeth, and feet. Not "marish". If you are looking for an all around mare, with a ranch horse foundation- Stella is a great option. She will take you where you want to go. Coggins is current and Delivery is available.
