Description:
If you are looking for a gentle, well broke young gelding to use on the ranch or ride on trails, then take a look at Denver. He is a nicely built 7 year old sorrel gelding, 15hh with a ton of shape, a big hip, and a pretty head with a soft eye. He sells as GRADE and we do not know how he is bred. Denver has a sweet, goofy personality and loves people, and is as kind and gentle as they come. He has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. His previous owner was an 84 year old man who had been using him on the ranch, as well as letting the older grand kids ride him. Denver has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and doesn’t need to be ridden every day to stay gentle. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Denver has a good handle, an easy one handed neck rein, and he will sidepass and work a gate. He rides quietly on a loose rein, is content to walk all day long but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. He does have some speed if you need it as well. Denver can be ridden by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and is not bothered by it. He is a nice ranch horse and trail horse, but is the perfect age to take in any direction you choose, whether you want to rope steers, do playdays, or even do some sorting. Denver just had his coggins pulled, teeth floated and was wormed.
