Ryder is a super cute well made 9 year old 15 hand sorrel gelding with 4 white wheels and a blaze. This is a handy and fun to ride horse that’s athletic and well trained. He collects up when asked, is smooth traveling and lopes out on cue never missing the correct lead. Stops on a dime, backs up with ease and rolls back good as well. Side passes great and is responsive to leg and hand cues. He is good about the tarp, rides with the flag and is ok with all the sensory stuff. Ryder is a solid and reliable trail horse that knows how to get around in the tough country. He is surefooted and confidant, goes anywhere we point him including thru the river,creeks,streams, over the bridges and thru the brush and downed timber. He will lead or follow, ride in the middle of larger groups as well as go out on his own. He is also outstanding to ride on the streets and around our busy neighborhood. He’s fine with fast passing vehicles, motorcycles, bikes, charging barking dogs and such. Ryder has been used for everything on the ranch. Sort, gather, rope and doctor sick calves are just some of the things he has done and is used to. You can head and heel on him and he will stay gentle even with some time off. This horse would be to responsive for a beginner rider but anyone with some riding experience that likes a responsive horse will love him. Has never offered to buck. Trail ride him, take him back to the ranch and put him to work it is all ok with him. He has no bad habits an is safe sane and 100% sound.Sold. Sorry you missed him. We have others.
