Hi! My Name is Rachael I am nearly 28 years old. I am looking for a Job training horses or as an assistant trainer. I am currently living in Alvarado, TX and would like to stay in the north Texas area, but will move for the right job. I have a lot of experience with young horses and am great with ground work and starting colts. Worked for 10 years as an assistant trainer in Wisconsin where I also helped manage around 40 show horses and broodmares at an Arabian/ Half Arabian facility. Some of my duties included Foaling mares, giving oral and injectable medications and vaccinations, feeding, turnout, general care and treatment of injuries/ scratches, bathing, rinsing, legging up and schooling training horses, starting young horses, clipping, helping maintain a clean facility, and many other odds and ends. I also spend a summer in South Dakota starting colts and legging up rope horses. Lots of experience hauling horses and driving a truck and trailer. Most recently to Scottsdale and back with a freightliner and large 6 horse trailer. I am a super reliable person, and a self starter. Would love to go back to working within the cow horse side of the industry, whether that be cutting, working cow horse, or roping/ rodeo horses. Only requirements I have are that my dog can come to work and travel with me, and that housing be provided. I have references upon request!
