Description:
Need well-rounded Ranch hand for very remote off the grid Ranch job. Housing is not fancy but you will be warm and dry at night on a soft bed. We are looking to make improvements. We run 67,000 acres and 800 to 1000 cow calf pairs. The cattle come to Wyoming 1st of March ship to Nebraska 1st of November. Crew goes to Nebraska and runs the cows on corn stalks through the winter. Housing is better in Nebraska. Housing in Wyoming is camper trailers (RV). Need to be well-rounded in all aspects of ranch work. Need to able to doctor outside or learn to. If you can’t do something don’t tell me you can do it (see honesty and integrity).



What I’m looking for you don’t have to be an expert in it just some ability.

Welding

Carpentry

Electrical

Plumbing

Fencing

Mechanical

Operate Equipment

Operate ATV

Rope or can learn

Fencing

Calving

Identify sick cattle

Ride a horse

Ability to make decision without me

Good driving record Driver’s License



That is not all but some of what is required.

Drunks (I don’t mind a man having a beer but you better be fit for work in the morning. I always was and I expect the same. If you show up for work drunk or I catch you drinking at work you’re done)

I am willing to teach the right person some of it but I don’t have time to hold your hand. I’m not your wife your mother or your Drill Instructor I have an alarm clock I suggest you get one. If I have to get you up all the time you’ll be packing up.



We allow three horses and 2 WELL BEHAVED dogs. We expect you to ride for the brand.



If a hand makes a mistake I will give them the opportunity to correct the mistake. We’ll fix it and move on. If a hand does good I will brag them up. That encourages more of the same.
