Description:
Looking for a hired man, or couple, to work for a cow-calf operation on the eastern edge of the Panhandle of the Nebraska Sandhills. The ranch runs 900+ cows/heifers. Duties include low-stress stock-handling ability, experienced horsemanship/roping ability (we ride slick horn saddles), strong work ethic and ability to handle many situations, fencing experience, machinery, windmill, carpenter, welding experience is a plus, no haying or irrigating (but we have to pick up a lot of round bales), maintain yard and have pride in equipment, stock, and ranch. Competitive wages, housing, beef, ranch vehicle, utilities, 4 horses each, well behaved dogs are ok, insurance after first month. This is a ranch job, not a riding job. There is plenty of riding to do and we work our cow’s horseback, but there are ranch duties that have to be taken care of as well. Positive environment based on good communication and trust.
