Description:
We operate an 1,800 head commercial cow/calf operation in southwestern Montana near Bozeman. Cattle run primarily on rangeland with pasture feeding from November to May. Our background our weaned calves in our ranch feedlot. We have 4 center pivots, wheel line, and flood irrigation and put up most of our own hay. We have an AI program for our replacement heifers done on the ranch.



We are looking for someone to fill a key supervisory position in our operation. We need someone with experience in feedlot operations, cattle processing, farming, irrigating, and with farm/heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance. Welding experience is not required would be a plus.If your spouse is interested in a part-time cooking position, that would also be a plus for us.



This person will supervise: all aspects of our feedlot operations, all aspects of our haying operation, our pasture feeding crew,and will organize our cattle processing days (receive, ship, weigh, sort, preg check, vaccinate,and screening for brucellosis). This person will collaborate with other key employees on irrigation, weed spraying projects, fencing projects and the selection of potential replacement heifers. This person will also be responsible for keeping feed and cattle inventories current as well as required feedlot records.



Housing is provided. Other benefits include utilities, beef, health insurance, a work vehicle, paid vacation, and eligibility for our 401k plan after one year of employment.
