Description:
Cow/calf ranch in western Nebraska Sandhills seeking motivated person for cattle ranch. Full time, long term employment. All cattle work is done horseback. We would make exceptions for the right person. We are looking for a fit enthusiastic person to work along side owner. This is a physical job requiring some mechanical skills, equipment operation, care of livestock, flexible time off, general mechanical interest and aptitude. Driver’s license required. Horseback skills a plus. Job includes haying, feeding, and general care of cattle, fence and corral repair, critical thinking, checking water. We would love to have a positive, up-beat person to match our personalities. We are serious about our work but want to make it as enjoyable as possible. Housing provided 1/4 mile from main house gives privacy for both of us. Nice accommodations but must be kept nice. Multi bed/bath, deck, quiet. Must be sober. After a probationary period we could offer health benefits, beef and for the right long term person, profit sharing. We are in a dry climate, centrally located and 4.5 hours from Denver, 3.5 hours from Cheyenne and 2.5 hours from Rapid City. No phone calls after 8 pm Mountain time please.
