Description:
This is a pair of handmade spurs made by the late Jerry Cates in unworn condition. They are marked CATES 3385. Mr. Cates was posthumously honored by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum with the Chester A Reynolds Award for his contribution to the preservation of the legacy of the American West. He is listed in both spur books by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are polished steel and are mounted with nickel silver. He did an outstanding job on the twenty six point rowels. Please ignore the reflection on the shiny steel. This would be a nice pair of spurs to add to a collection or to wear.
