Description:
Comanche is a flashy, sweet tri color paint gelding with tons of color and shape, and a good mind to go along with it. He is 7 years old and 14.3 hh, with a big hip, plenty of bone and a pretty head with a kind eye. Comanche was bred and raised up in North Texas, and owned by one man until we bought him, after the man lost his lease and had to get rid of his livestock. He is quiet, gentle, and extremely good minded and smart, with a willing disposition and curious personality. Comanche has an excellent one handed neck rein and is so light that he rides just in a bosal, hackamore, or bitless bridle, and will easily stop, turn, back up with very little pressure. He will also ride in a snaffle. He rides quietly on a loose rein, never going any faster than you ask him to. He is content to walk quietly all day long but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. Comanche has a smooth trot and rocking horse lope, lopes pretty circles both in the arena and out in the pasture. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Comanche will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He has been mainly used as a pleasure horse and we have done obstacles with him, both natural and man made, but he is the perfect age to take in any direction you choose. Whether you want to ride for pleasure, use him on the ranch, or make a performance horse out of him, he has the mind and athletic ability to do it all. Comanche would make a nice little playday horse as well. He had never seen barrels or poles before we took him through for the video, and he goes through them like an old pro. Show him something once and he’s got it. Comanche is excellent for the shoer, he will catch you in the pasture and beg to be caught, and he stands quietly tied. He is easy to load and haul, gets along great with other horses and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off. He is an amazing young horse with a bright future.
