Description:
This is a lightly used handmade dog bone snaffle bit made by well-known bit and spur maker Leon Hughes from Claremore, Oklahoma. All of Leon’s bits are completely handmade. It is marked LH inside the cheek. The bit is polished steel and is just beginning to rust. It is mounted with ten pieces of engraved nickel silver. The dog bone is overlaid with brass and wrapped with copper wire. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection.

Measurements: Mouth Piece (measured between collars) 5 1/16”, Cheek Pieces 6 ⅜”, Bars Diameter ⅜”, Bit Weight 10.6 ounces
