Description:
This is a pair of vintage handmade Crockett spurs that are single mounted with engraved copper. Crockett is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin. These spurs are from the 1946 to 1955 time period based on the location of the mark. They are marked with the Crockett mark on the bottom edge of the heel band directly under the hanger on both spurs. They are also marked stainless. This pair is number SSM1379 Mounted as shown in the catalog. The heel bands and shanks are stainless and the rowels are brass. There are marks on the mountings from use. There is not any play in the rowels and the rowels spin freely. These would be nice to add to a collection or could still be worn today.
