Hazel a gorgeous dappled buckskin mare, 9 years old and 14.3hh with tons of shape, good bone, and a pretty head with a kind eye. Sells as GRADE. She has an amazing personality and loves people. You could turn her out on 100 acres and walk right up to her and catch her with no problem. Hazel is not mare-ish at all, and can be turned out with both mares and geldings without any problems. She is an easy keeper and good for the farrier. Hazel doesn’t have a fancy handle or a ton of fancy training, but she is willing and good minded with a very smooth trot and rocking horse lope. She is good on both leads, stops and backs easily, and will easy go wherever you tell her with a direct rein. Hazel is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, will cross water, and is not spooky. She is laid back and will not go any faster than you ask her to, but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. She can be ridden by herself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Hazel has also been ridden alongside the road and isn’t bothered by it. We have had her 6 months and she has never offered to buck until today. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the green grass, maybe it was the ill fitting saddle, but she did try to buck today when I got on her so she is being sold as a project. Asking $1250.
