DOUBLE HOMOZYGOUS NIC DAUGHTER!! That means if bred she can ONLY produce grulla and dun foals, bred to any stallion!! If the stallion is grulla or black she can ONLY produce grulla!



I owned Candles’ mother for many years and she was one of my first broodmares. She had a stud colt every year until Candles was born, on July 14th, 2018 which happens to be my husbands birthday! That is where her name came from. She was special from day 1 and I knew I was going to keep her. When she was about 2 months old her mom was not doing well and I had to wean Candles early. She had a tough time the rest of that year and fell behind in growth, compared to others her age. She was also several months younger as we don’t normally foal past June. I have a feeling that is why she did not get bigger than she is now as both parents are 15.2 and 15.1 with lots of substance! Usually mares like Candles produce nice, big foals like they genetically should be but you don’t know for sure until they have a foal.



Candles has been well handled her whole life, like all the youngsters we raise and she loves people! She is so sweet and quiet like her sire and siblings! Right before the sale I decided to send her off to our colt starter and she is doing very well for the short time she has been there. She has been wonderful for her ground work and has even had a couple of rides so far. You are welcome to develop her in the direction you want or leave her with our trainer to get further along before taking her home.



She does sell with an optional chute fee only breeding to Dun Splash Of Cream next year for a ***GUARANTEED *** GRULLA SPLASH WHITE FOAL! ***



She stands 14.1 hands currently.
