She is the easiest horse I have ever been around, pretty sure she is a gelding trapped in a mare’s body. "Sizzle" is a CLASSY 2019 AQHA mare that is WAY ahead of her years both on the ground and in the saddle - she’s flat out broke (even beer broke) and loaded with all of the talent you could ever ask for and then some. This mare rides better than most 12 year olds even only being at the age of two but has not been pushed or hammered on. There are some horses you spend a lifetime getting broke, then there are some that are just "born broke" and this mare is one of the ones that just naturally came that way, everything she does is precise and correct. You’ll find that she is always wanting to please whoever is on her back and does absolutely anything you ask of her. "Sizzle" has a SOLID foundation in EVERY sense - she was started the right way; light in the bridle, soft throughout her entire body, good stop, easy back up, neck reins, picks up both leads and lopes great circles either direction. Not to mention, she’s as fancy and gorgeous of a mover as they can possibly come and as smooth as butter at all gaits! There’s a million directions this mare could go, but as classy as she is, "Sizzle" would be a great candidate for ranch riding/versatility! However, her training goes further than just arena riding. She has been used at the sale barn to pen cattle moving them up and down the alley, sorting, and opening/closing gates all day long. She wants to read a cow and has the natural, God given ability to do so - the kind that you can’t just train into all of them. We’ve swung ropes on her and tracked the sled lightly on her as well and she has all the potential in the world to go in that direction if so desired. "Sizzle" has ample riding outside as well - she is great on the trails. Crosses water without any hesitation whether it’s a puddle or swimming across a river that’s belly deep, sure footed in the rocks, goes up/down hills steadily, steps over logs, and rides out quietly whether she’s by herself or in a group. She is not herd bound or barn sour and never gets worked up or in a hurry! And when it comes to riding in a more urban environment, she is just as quiet and civilized. Not spooky or bothered in the slightest by cars, trucks, pedestrians, dogs, etc. Heck, we even hopped on this mare bareback in a halter and rode her right through the drive through "Beer Barn" right here in the heart of Stephenville, Texas. How many horses, much less 2 year olds, do you know that you can do that on? My guess is not very many... "Sizzle" has more shape to her than J-Lo; a pretty head, strong back, and a nice hip. She’s completely sound in EVERY way - her legs are clean and perfectly straight, and solid feet. Stands 14/14.1 now and should mature to be about 14.3 hands. She has a sweet disposition and a quiet demeanor but still minds her manners and knows her boundaries. She’s more than easy to catch, you can bet she will be the first one up to you in the pasture or to greet you at the front of her stall every morning and her willing work ethic is so refreshing. Stands to be groomed, saddled, bridled, mounted, bathed, etc. Loads and hauls great and gets along with any horse you put her with. "Sizzle" is NOT mareish at all - she’s like having an old ranch gelding around. She will stand tied or haul next to other horses without even so much as pinning her ears. So, you get the many benefits of owning a mare without any of the headache that goes with it... Sounds like a win-win to me. No buck, rear, bolt, kick, or bite to her either, I don’t think she has a mean bone in her entire body to be honest.
