Description:
This is a pair of used handmade spurs made by Roy Robinson from Bryan, Texas. Roy owned Roy Bits & Spurs and made top quality bits, spurs, and saddle hardware. Roy is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Mike & Gretchen Graham. The spurs are appear stainless but hold a magnet. Both sides are shown in the photos. There are some marks from use. There is a crack in the heelband on one spur just below the hanger. The crack goes all the way through as shown in the photos. The maker that replaced the rowels said they are still plenty stout. The metal Roy used was tough! The price has been adjusted for the crack. Both spurs are marked Roy on the outside of the heel bands. They have brass buttons. The rowel and rowel pins were replaced with steel rowels. They are a similar style and size to the original rowels except they are steel instead of brass. This would be a nice pair of spurs to wear.
